About  Us

who we are at Cultured Space

Our telehealth therapists are passionate about assisting our clients with addressing an array of personal challenges. Serving clients in New York, New Jersey, and the Washington, DC area, Cultured Space is a culturally-informed team of highly skilled clinicians that specialize in areas of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work/career concerns, and trauma. Additionally, while this list is not exhaustive, our clinicians are also dedicated to supporting clients who are experiencing the effects of systemic oppression that incite racism, sexism, sizeism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and more. Our clinicians engage in their work with awareness of how those with marginalized identities, especially those that are intersecting,  may be impacted by the current sociopolitical and sociocultural climate.

At Cultured Space, our group of therapists offers clients a real opportunity to make a difference that can transform their lives in a direction of awareness, healing, and growth. In all forms of life, wellness, and business, change can alter your feelings, causing you to feel doubt and confusion that can be hard to handle. So often, the stigma on mental health issues and therapy, especially in marginalized communities, prevents individuals from taking the step to bettering their lives. Cultured Space was developed to present mental health topics that feel accessible and relevant to everyone. Our therapists have a great understanding of how you can navigate your thoughts and feelings accordingly. Cultured Space prioritizes treatment planning, problem-solving, and your cultural identities all in a supportive environment that facilitates change at a pace that feels right for you.

Now more than ever, people from all different backgrounds must discover new ways to navigate ever-changing challenges and hurdles. While adjusting accordingly to be successful and thrive in areas that matter the most for your progression, it can be overwhelming without guidance. Often, the first step is just noticing our thought habits and bringing awareness to patterns that may not serve us. Our sessions help those to see their potential and work through the noise, whether they be from past messages or sociocultural pressures, that often plagues minds. With tools that help identify and remove roadblocks, refine purpose, and make visions into reality, we apply our therapy modalities in an unbiased, inclusive, and culturally-informed manner. Communities from all different backgrounds can trust that there is hope with hard work and healing.

To us, transparency is important: those with marginalized identities suffer disproportionately in the oppressive systems that exist in our society. Cultured Space was created in the hopes to provide accessible and culturally-competent care to those who need a safe space to process how their unique constellation of identities is used to navigate the world in which we live. Regardless of your age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability status, size, religious/spiritual affiliation, or any other identity you hold, you are welcome here. You are seen here. You are heard here.

As a team of clinicians in the thick of mental health work, we know that the stigma is real, palpable, and may keep people from reaching out to spaces that don’t feel safe. It may be hard to find someone who looks like you, shares an identity with you, or who will see you for all that you are. At Cultured Space, our goal is to ensure that you feel the safety of being seen, heard, and understood. Each of our clinicians strive to ensure that you get to the next chapter of your healing, growth, and exploration the way you want it to be. With a bit of connection and work, it’s possible. Let us help you get where you want to go.
